Cascade Clamps - Cascade Manufacturing Company was founded in Portland, Oregon in the year 1943. They began as a small machine shop in the beginning hiring 4 individuals. Product sales for their first year of operation amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Through five years of operation, the company had expanded to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had risen to 330 thousand dollars. These days, Cascade is among the top worldwide producers within the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive quest of better business opportunities. Over the last 60 years, the material handling industry has developed into a highly advanced area and Cascade has proudly played a part in this improvement. During the nineteen fifties, Cascade started to make, design, and sell its hydraulic attachments. The company altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In 1965, Cascade went public with a preliminary offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its manufacturing plants throughout the U.S. with areas in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, San Antonio. Cascade products are fabricated internationally due to lots of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a new facility was accomplished in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European command center. This plant is built to be the essential customer service centre.

Continuing to develop, Cascade expanded their product offering further in 1996 and 1997 with the remarkable acquisition of five companies, together with the worldwide leader in forks, the Kenhar Corporation.
